The Jubilee, also known as the Holy Year, is taking place throughout 2025. Large numbers of visitors are expected and there’s likely to be a high demand for accommodation. Traffic disruptions and an increased risk of petty crime could occur. Make early preparations if you’re visiting Rome during this time (see ‘Travel’).
