All airports including Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu have reopened and some airlines have resumed flights. It may take time for normal flight operations to resume. Do not go to the airport until your flight is confirmed. Contact your airline or travel provider about your flight status and allow extra time to travel to the airport in case of curfews or checkpoints. Ensure you carry a valid ticket to show authorities.
The security situation across Nepal remains unpredictable after widespread civil unrest and violence. The situation may deteriorate without warning. Nepal authorities continue to enforce curfews in the Kathmandu Valley and in major cities across Nepal. Military checkpoints are in place across Kathmandu. Stay alert, obey curfews and follow the instructions of local authorities. Authorities may enforce further curfews at short notice. Avoid areas affected by demonstrations, protests and other public gatherings and only move around if you can do so safely.
