Demonstrations and roadblocks in Machu Picchu town and parts of the Sacred Valley are expected. Rail and bus services to Machu Picchu may be disrupted. Avoid demonstrations and large gatherings. Follow the instructions of local authorities.

Yellow fever is a risk in Peru. Get vaccinated before you travel. You will need a yellow fever vaccination certificate to enter some countries after visiting Peru (see ‘Health’).
