Nepal

We continue to advise reconsider your need to travel to Nepal due to civil unrest and the risk of natural disasters.

The security situation across Nepal remains unpredictable after widespread civil unrest and violence. The situation may deteriorate without warning. Authorities may enforce curfews at short notice. Stay alert and follow the instructions of local authorities. Avoid areas affected by demonstrations, protests and other public gatherings and only move around if you can do so safely.

All airports including Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu have reopened and most airlines have resumed flights. It may take time for normal flight operations to resume. Do not go to the airport until your flight is confirmed. Contact your airline or travel provider about your flight status. Ensure you carry a valid ticket to show authorities.

We advise:

Reconsider your need to travel to Nepal due to civil unrest and the risk of natural disasters.
