A hurricane warning is in effect for Jamaica. Tropical Storm Melissa is forecast to become a hurricane. Expect heavy rain, flash flooding and strong winds, with transport and essential services affected. Check media for updates and follow the instructions of local authorities (see ‘Safety’).
