Mali

We continue to advise do not travel to Mali due to the dangerous security situation and the high threat of terrorism, kidnapping and violent crime. If you’re in Mali, you should depart immediately using commercial means. On 25 April, armed groups conducted attacks in multiple locations in Mali, including Bamako. Bamako International Airport may open or close at short notice. If you are in an affected area, follow the advice of local authorities and shelter in place, or leave if safe to do so. If you decide to remain, you’re responsible for your own safety. Australia doesn’t have an embassy in Mali. Our ability to provide consular assistance in Mali is extremely limited (see ‘Safety’).

We continue to advise:

Do not travel to Mali due to the dangerous security situation and the threat of terrorism, kidnapping and violent crime.
