Angola

We’ve reviewed our advice for Angola and continue to advise exercise a high degree of caution. Angola is experiencing a cholera outbreak affecting 17 of the 21 Angolan provinces, including in Luanda, Bengo, Icolo e Bengo, Cuanza Norte, Malanje and Benguela. Be careful when drinking water or consuming food. You don’t need a visa to visit Angola as a tourist. For all other travel, apply for a visa online (see ‘Travel’).

We advise:

Exercise a high degree of caution in Angola overall due to the risk of civil unrest and the threat of violent crime.

Higher levels apply in some areas.
