Land border crossings into a neighbouring country may open and close at short notice. Check with local authorities on entry requirements and border arrangements. Plan for possible delays and make sure you have supplies of food, water and medication.

Special quarantine measures and the closure of Azerbaijan’s land borders remain in place, including for land border crossings from Iran.

Be alert to possible threats, especially in public places. Terrorists may target tourist areas and attractions or other places frequented by foreigners. Take official warnings seriously (see ‘Safety’).
