We’ve reviewed our advice for Bolivia. We now advise reconsider your need to travel to the Department of La Paz due to ongoing civil unrest. There are widespread protests in and around La Paz. The political and security situation in La Paz remains highly unpredictable. There are roadblocks, including on roads to the El Alto International Airport and there are shortages of fuel, food and medical supplies. Stay alert and follow the advice of the local authorities (see ‘Safety’).
