Other levels apply in some areas. Legislative, provincial and municipal elections will be held on 29 December. Political demonstrations and rallies are expected. Avoid crowds, demonstrations and protests. Follow the advice of local authorities.
The border with Sudan remains closed to travellers until further notice. Chad is extremely dangerous due to the risk of terrorism, kidnapping, civil unrest and violent crime.
