The worsening fuel shortage and frequent power outages are affecting transport and other services. Nation-wide power blackouts are occurring. Airlines are reducing or cancelling flights. If you’re in Cuba, you should consider leaving while commercial flights are available. There’s also a shortage of essential supplies, including food, medicines and drinking water.
Demonstrations and protests against the government can occur. Some can turn violent, causing injuries and deaths. They may occur anywhere across the country. Avoid protests and demonstrations (see ‘Safety’).
