Teahupo’o will host Olympic Games surfing events between 27 July – 5 August. There’s likely to be extra demands on local infrastructure and resources, as well as traffic congestion. Make early preparations if you are visiting Teahupo’o and Papeete during this time. Industry strikes are occurring at Faa’a International Airport. Many domestic flights have been disrupted or cancelled. You should contact your airline to confirm travel arrangements (see ‘Safety’).
