We continue to advise exercise a high degree of caution in Kenya due to the threat of terrorism and violent crime. Higher levels apply in some areas. Protests across Kenya, including in Nairobi may block roads and can turn violent. Security forces have used tear gas to disperse crowds (see ‘Safety’). If you’re arriving from Uganda, Ethiopia or the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), you may be subject to enhanced health screening measures due to the ongoing Ebola outbreak centred in the DRC (see ‘Health’ and ‘Travel’).
