Military conflict has caused airspace closures, flight cancellations and other disruptions. Prioritise your safety, monitor events and follow the advice of local authorities.
Be prepared to leave quickly or to shelter in place for an extended period. Make sure you have enough food, water and medication. Keep your passport handy. Make sure you have travel insurance with coverage for high-risk destinations.
Demonstrations and protest activity may also occur and local security situations could deteriorate with little notice. Avoid all demonstrations and protests.
The Australian Government has directed the departure of all dependants of Australian officials posted to Lebanon in response to the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East.
