Madagascar

Cyclone Gezani made landfall in Madagascar on 10 February (local time). There are reports of widespread infrastructure damage, including water and electricity outages. Flights are disrupted and airport closures might occur. Flooding, flash floods, and landslides are likely in impacted regions. Assessment of the damage is ongoing. Be aware of your surroundings and follow the instructions of local authorities (see ‘Safety’).

We advise:

Exercise a high degree of caution for Madagascar due to the threat of civil unrest, crime and the risk of natural disasters.
