Madagascar

We continue to advise exercise a high degree of caution in Madagascar due to the threat of civil unrest, crime and the risk of natural disasters. The cyclone season is from November to April. Monitor weather updates and warnings (see ‘Extreme weather and natural disasters’). You need a visa to enter Madagascar. If you’re a tourist, you can apply for a visa for up to 60 days on arrival at the airport (see ‘Travel’).

We advise:

Exercise a high degree of caution for Madagascar due to the threat of civil unrest, crime and the risk of natural disasters.
