Australia has been designated by the ROK health authorities as a ‘Quarantine Inspection Required Area’ due to the presence of dengue fever. If you show symptoms of illness, you’ll need to register on the Korean Q-code system or complete a health questionnaire form on arrival in South Korea (see ‘Travel’).

Avoid demonstrations and large public gatherings. Be prepared to change your travel plans in case of traffic or other disruptions. Monitor the media for updates and follow the advice of local authorities (see ‘Safety’).
