Sri Lanka

We continue to advise exercise a high degree of caution overall. To enter Sri Lanka, you’ll need a visa in the form of an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). Apply online before you travel, as there are limited facilities to obtain an ETA on arrival. The ETA is free for Australian passport holders travelling for tourism for up to 30 days. Entry and exit conditions can change at short notice. Check the Sri Lanka ETA website for more details (see ‘Travel’).

We advise:

Exercise a high degree of caution in Sri Lanka due to the threat of public demonstrations and security risks.
