The European Entry/Exit System (EES) has started for all non-EU nationals, including Australians, travelling in or out of the Schengen Area. You’ll need to register at borders and have your fingerprint and photo taken. Be prepared for lengthy delays and crowded arrival halls in Geneva. The introduction of EES, together with the annual ski season, is currently causing entry processing delays of up to 4 hours (see ‘Travel’).
