We’ve reviewed our travel advice and continue to advise exercise a high degree of caution in the United Arab Emirates. The ongoing conflict in Lebanon and the Occupied Palestinian Territories could lead to increased tensions in other locations in the Middle East. There’s an increased threat of attacks against Israeli interests across the region. The conflict may also result in airspace closures, flight cancellations and diversions and other travel disruptions (see ‘Safety’). Demonstrations and protest activity may also occur and local security situations could deteriorate with little notice. Avoid all demonstrations and protests.
There’s an increased risk of terrorism, including threats against military bases. Terrorist attacks could occur at any time and target locations frequented by foreigners including places of worship, hotels, transport hubs, shopping malls, markets, residential compounds and tourist locations.
We advise:
Exercise a high degree of caution in the UAE due to the threat of terrorism.
